The Station Hotel, Birstwith is a lovely food led pub with 5 guest bedrooms and a beautiful beer garden located just 6 miles from Harrogate.
We are looking to recruit an ambitious, driven, motivated, passionate and hard working Head Chef to run our pub-restaurant kitchen.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious chef who is ready to develop a kitchen and build an excellent reputation. The successful candidate must have experience of running a commercial kitchen, cooking with the freshest ingredients and serving high quality food.
About the role.
Overall responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen, ensuring ingredients are stored, prepared, cooked and presented to the highest standards and in line with food safety guidelines.
Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment at all times. Responsible for all food safety management procedures and record keeping in line with EHO & Health & Safety guidelines. Retain and maintain the 5 star rating for the business.
Develop menu items and special dishes that are in line with business requirements and customer trends and expectations.
Ensure that all the Station team work in a safe environment for both themselves and guests.
About you
Able to demonstrate a keen business sense and identify ways that customer profile and business strategy influences profitable, competitive and creative menus.
Able to consider market trends and business scenarios that present opportunities and risks to the business.
Direct and motivate all team members to improve staff knowledge and ability. Improve and deliver standards in the most effective and efficient way to Rosette standard.
Produce and deliver high quality menu items in line with commercial and customer requirements.
Design kitchen rotas that forecast and manage labour costs, ensuring the staffing of the kitchen is managed efficiently.
Understanding of the principles of profit and loss, gross profit margins and other kitchen working practices to support and ensure that the overall financial performance of the business is efficient and profitable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 35,000.00-37,000.00 per year
