About the Role: An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and motivated Registered Manager to take the lead in launching a brand-new domiciliary care service in the Southport area. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for a proactive professional looking to shape a service from the ground up — achieving CQC registration, building a high-performing care team, and establishing a trusted reputation within the local community.
The role covers all aspects of service setup, care quality, compliance, workforce management, and business development, offering excellent scope for career growth and professional recognition.
Key Responsibilities: Service Setup & Registration:
Lead the CQC registration process as the Nominated Registered Manager
Develop operational policies, care planning documentation, and quality assurance systems
Recruit, train, and induct care staff in line with safer recruitment practices
Implement digital systems for care delivery, scheduling, and compliance monitoringQuality, Compliance & Governance:
Ensure all care delivery meets CQC regulations and internal quality standards
Manage care planning, risk assessments, staff supervision, and audits
Act as the lead for safeguarding, complaints, and incident management
Drive continuous quality improvement across the serviceTeam Leadership & Development:
Build, manage, and support a team of Care Assistants and Field Care Supervisors
Foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing team culture
Oversee rota management to ensure consistent, person-centred care delivery
Support ongoing staff training, development, and career progressionClient Engagement & Service Delivery:
Conduct client assessments, reviews, and service introductions
Build strong relationships with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Monitor care delivery standards through digital systems and service feedback
Provide hands-on care support where required in the early stagesBusiness Development:
Build referral relationships with adult social care teams, hospital discharge units, case managers, and private clients
Actively promote the service through networking and community engagement
Manage new enquiries and convert referrals into active care packages
Support tender submissions and framework applications as the service growsKey Requirements:
QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or working towards)
Eligible to register as a CQC Registered Manager
Proven experience in domiciliary/homecare management
Strong understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and care legislation
Commercially aware with the ability to grow both private and commissioned care packages
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
IT literate with experience using care management systems and Microsoft Office
