Job Description
We are seeking a team member with experience in food safety to join our deli department. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to 50 pounds and must be at least 18 years old.
Responsibilities
1. Accurately record and assist in the preparation of deli special orders to ensure guest satisfaction.
2. Weigh and label products for guests.
3. Set up the deli case according to company standards.
4. Rotate and check code dates on products to ensure safety.
5. Maintain product levels in sales cases.
6. Utilize suggestive selling techniques to enhance sales.
7. Follow procedures to meet out-of-stock percentage goals.
8. Check deliveries and reconcile invoices with merchandise.
9. Assist in maintaining deli cooler efficiency by unloading deliveries.
10. Cross-train in Meat, Prepared Foods, and Seafood departments.
11. Maintain cleanliness of the department and work area, including the back room.
12. Handle products and equipment properly, following food safety guidelines.
13. Provide excellent customer service and greet guests warmly.
14. Fill orders promptly and accurately.
15. Prioritize safety at all times.
16. Promote an inclusive environment that respects diversity among team members, customers, vendors, and the community.
