Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer
. This role involves working a rotating 8-hour shift pattern, 5 days a week, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends. You will play a crucial role in supporting both planned and reactive maintenance across our manufacturing plant.
What Will I Be Doing? Contribute to the timely and effective maintenance of all plant and equipment. Ensure all auxiliary services (steam, air, water, etc.) are maintained efficiently. Conduct methodical diagnostics and fault rectification on electrical control panels and systems. Respond to callouts on a rota basis to ensure continuous engineering support. Apply a professional work ethic to promptly address breakdowns and maintenance activities. Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Assist in monitoring and controlling the spares stock control system. Carry out additional duties, including production operations, as needed. Adhere to all company policies, including Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities. Attend off-site training when required.

Here’s what we’re looking for: Relevant NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification or Mechanical engineering qualification. A minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong written, numerical, and verbal communication skills. Good ICT abilities. Ability to effectively multi-task. Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Mechanical and electrical knowledge. Ability to read mechanical and wiring diagrams. Experience with PLC-controlled applications in an industrial setting. Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment. Strong relationship-building skills with colleagues and stakeholders.
