For many years we have worked with LRS to press all their blackcurrants on site here at Myrtle Farm. This takes place from June to August. We’re now looking for a temporary team to help us with this process over the summer months. This role will involve varying shift patterns so flexibility is a must. We’re just getting started. The Role: Working as part of our seasonal team, you will be responsible for working in primary process where the fruit comes in and gets pressed into juice. Joining a team of our fulltime operatives you will be involved in: Unloading & tipping of fruit Milling and pressing of fruit into juice Filtration and evaporation of juice into concentrate Loading of final product for delivery to LRS Data collection and record keeping As apart of the team, you will also be expected to: Produce high quality juice from blackcurrants Adhere to Thatchers quality, and health and safety policies Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace Communicate clearly with other colleagues and teams (written and verbal) What are we looking for? Be accurate with a good attention to detail Have a responsible, trustworthy and positive attitude Be calm under pressure Be organised and punctual Have good interpersonal skills Hours Rota will be based on working 12-hour shifts Monday-Sunday, alternating between days and nights. Average 42 hour week. A full rota will be issued at the start of the season.
