Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced 8b Clinical Psychologist to work within NSFT in the East Suffolk Older Adults acute ward (Willows, Ipswich Hospital) and Dementia Intensive Support Service (DISTE), in Ipswich and the surrounding area.
This role will include leading efforts to strengthen and develop the older people's mental health pathway, being part of an experienced multidisciplinary team, and supporting mental health recovery in older adults. You will also receive direct support from a qualified Clinical Associate Psychologist and psychological therapists, and be part of a large, friendly team across East Suffolk’s older adult mental health services.
You will play a key role in further developing the pathway in line with our transformation objectives.
Main duties of the job
This is a clinical leadership role supporting your professional development. You will deliver high-quality assessment and treatment focused on formulation within our older people's mental health pathway in Ipswich. You will provide supervision, training, and reflective practice to staff.
With a visionary approach, you will champion a culture based on recovery, compassion, choice, and personalised care, serving as a role model. You will be committed to evidence-based practice and current national mental health service models.
