Job Opportunity: Facilities Manager
Location: Murrayfield, Edinburgh.
Salary: £38,000 to £42,000 per annum.
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Looking for a reliable and experienced Facilities Manager to join the team. In this role, you will help ensure that our school site is safe, well-maintained, and running smoothly. You will manage day-to-day maintenance, lead a small facilities team, and work closely with contractors and other departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support members of the Facilities team.
Manage the maintenance helpdesk and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
Oversee planned maintenance and compliance checks, keeping accurate records.
Work with contractors, obtaining quotes and ensuring good value and quality.
Carry out regular site checks to maintain safety and cleanliness.
Support school operations, including lettings, transport coordination, and space planning.
Help manage budgets and keep documents well organised.
Take part in the emergency site rota and assist with general tasks when needed.
Occasionally drive the school minibus (training provided if needed).What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in facilities management.
Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
Experience managing people or teams.
Good IT skills, especially in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
