We are looking to appoint a Project Worker 1 within our family support service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced worker to join Barnardo's and support service delivery within both our children's disability service and also working across our family support service.
We are seeking project workers who are developing their experience of supporting children, families and young people on a groupwork and 1-1 basis. There is a requirement for flexibility, which includes regular evenings and occasional weekend working to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.
General responsibilities and requirements
1. Previous experience of working with children, young people, families
2. Work collaboratively and flexibly with partners and alongside children, young people and families to shape their own support
3. Experience and knowledge of applying safeguarding policies and procedures
4. Working effectively as part of a team
5. An understanding of the adversities experienced by children, young people and families
6. Provide direct support for children, young people or families in their homes, this includes groupwork within the service and outreach work within family homes.
7. Complete assessments, care plans and maintain recordings in line with local and organisational policy
8. Being creative, dynamic and flexible to meet the needs of children, young people and their families
