The Liverpool Law School seeks to appoint Lecturers in Law (Teaching and Scholarship) to join the Law School at the University of Liverpool. Scholarship includes work that relates to the study and practice of learning and teaching within an HE setting. It can also include, but should not be exclusively characterised by, subject‑specific / disciplinary‑specific research that is not related to learning and teaching, but which has a tangible impact on policy, practice or systems.
These posts are open to candidates with an established track record of teaching excellence in addition to substantive, considered plans for developing their scholarship profile into the future. You should have (or be about to obtain) a PhD in Law or have equivalent extensive professional/scholarship experience. We would welcome applications from candidates who can contribute to teaching in core undergraduate Law subjects and specialist modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
A commitment to social justice will be complementary to the strong social justice legacy and programmes of research for which the department is renowned.
Interviews will be held on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 June 2026.
