Inclusion Support Assistant (Multiple Positions)
Closing Date: Tuesday 16 June | Interview Dates: Monday 22, Wednesday 23, Thursday 25 June.
Salary: Band 7 £24,770.00 – £27,231.00 (Pro Rata Salary £21,954 – £24,136).
Contract: Fixed Term until 31 July 2027, Term Time Only.
Hours per week: 36.
Location: City Skills, Future Skills, Eccles Sixth Form and SCC Group.
Role Summary
Provide high‑quality, flexible, and learner‑centred support that enables learners with SEND to achieve, belong, and thrive within our college environment. Support learners with diverse needs in and out of the classroom with their academic progress, personal development, well‑being, inclusion, and safeguarding.
You will join a team of dedicated Inclusion Support Assistants in the Learning Support Department. Working across the SCC group’s different centres, you will collaborate with classroom tutors to break down barriers and ensure learners can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Assist learners with SEND in developing and maintaining academic progress and personal development plans.
* Support learners in accessing the curriculum and ensuring inclusive teaching and learning strategies are applied.
* Work alongside classroom tutors to adapt resources, plan effective assessments and support confidence and independence.
* Support learning journeys, provide advocacy, and work collaboratively with pupils’ families and external agencies.
* Carry out safeguarding duties, maintain effective safeguarding records, and participate in safeguarding training.
