The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) is recruiting for a pivotal role within our Quality team: Lead Auditor, based in Suffolk.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to Sizewell C, a 3.2 GW power station providing low-carbon electricity to around 6 million homes for at least 60 years. As Lead Auditor, you will ensure the quality and compliance of our delivery teams and supply chain, meeting project, customer, and legislative standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 19443.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and lead a risk-based audit schedule across delivery teams and supply chain, ensuring compliance with CWA and regulatory standards.
* Plan and conduct audits, raise non-conformances, and oversee corrective actions.
* Support subcontractors and suppliers to meet quality expectations.
* Represent CWA Quality at governance forums and supplier meetings, promoting continuous improvement.
* Mentor junior auditors and collaborate across functions for consistent risk mitigation.
* Use audit findings to provide actionable insights to leadership.
* Leverage digital tools to improve audit efficiency and reporting.
Competencies & Experience:
* Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 (essential); familiarity with ISO 19443 preferred.
* Proven auditing experience in high-integrity, regulated projects such as nuclear or major infrastructure.
* Strong understanding of quality assurance systems in construction or engineering environments.
* Excellent communication skills, confident in engaging senior stakeholders.
* Analytical mindset with attention to systemic issues.
* Proactive, self-motivated, capable of managing priorities.
