Overview
Senior Quantity Surveyor role at RSE, based in Cumbernauld, Scotland, United Kingdom. Our Asset Management team is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support clients across various frameworks in the Water sector. You will manage and oversee contractual, financial, and commercial activities of the Company’s projects and frameworks, and lead a team of graduate and experienced surveyors to ensure best practice and key deliverables are met.
Responsibilities
* Involvement in pre-award activities such as tender reviews, risk/value analysis and evaluation; advise on procurement strategies.
* Run a portfolio of projects and frameworks, covering commercial/contractual administration from pre-award through to completion.
* Prepare, develop, and analyse framework-wide commercial reports for internal use and for Clients.
* Track the payment status of projects and programmes/frameworks.
* Notify the Managing QS of project and programme performance, identifying risks and opportunities as they materialise.
* Carry out other tasks within the post holder’s appropriate skill set as required.
What You Need
* RICS recognised qualification (or equivalent) in Surveying, Construction, Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
* Previous proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
* Experience in setting and agreeing commercial strategies, procurement, cost/value reconciliation/reporting, project management, negotiation and settlement of accounts and claims.
* Ability to delegate to and manage a team of commercial staff.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
