Job title: Apprentice & Skills Development Coach (Pipework)

Location: Barrow – We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role

Salary: £41,997- £44,796 depending on qualifications and experience

What you’ll be doing:

* Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment practices that engage and inspire learners to fulfil their individual potential and develop the skills, knowledge and behaviours to successfully progress within the business.
* Take professional pride in their role and embrace continuous professional development opportunities in support of delivering innovative and impactful teaching, learning and assessment.
* Assess and monitor learner progress & performance in line with standards and legislative requirements to ensure occupational competence.
* Coach employees and learners to reach their full potential by providing key support, mentoring, challenge and motivation throughout all aspects of their learning journey.
* Develop learners that are innovative thinkers and creative problem solvers, through designing and delivering learning content as part of a blended learning pedagogy focused on delivering vocational excellence.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

* Effective coaching and mentoring skills.
* Strong and effective interpersonal skills specifically when dealing with welfare, support and safeguarding issues.
* Pipe Fitter qualified.

Desirable:

* A1/Assessor qualification.
* Submarines Experience.

The Skills Development Team:

You will join a dynamic team of professionals, assessing a number of apprentices through their programme and supporting a range of early careers activities, including interviewing, inductions, career events etc.

This is a great opportunity to work with the next generation of Pipe Fabricators, having a direct influence and shaping their careers.
