A well-regarded secondary school in Manchester is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Science (Biology) to join its committed Science department. About the Role As Teacher of Science (Biology), you will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on Biology. There may be opportunities to contribute to KS5 depending on experience and timetable. You will deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops: Secure understanding of key Biology concepts and scientific thinking Confidence with practical work and safe laboratory routines Data handling, application of knowledge and evaluation skills Exam confidence through modelling, deliberate practice and precise feedback Students study topics including cells, genetics, ecology, evolution and homeostasis, building strong foundations for GCSE Science. Lessons are structured to be challenging and accessible, supporting learners with different starting points through effective scaffolding and stretch and challenge. Teachers collaborate closely on planning, share resources and use common assessment strategies to ensure students build knowledge over time and are well prepared for GCSE.
