About the Role
As a Room Leader, you'll be the driving force in creating a positive, nurturing, and inspiring space for children to grow and learn. You'll lead your team by example, ensuring high-quality practice in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) while supporting your staff and making sure every child in your room thrives.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the daily running of your allocated room.
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate exciting, age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and creativity.
* Supervise and support your team of practitioners, offering guidance, training, and motivation.
* Ensure children's progress and development are observed, recorded, and shared with parents/carers.
* Uphold and promote safeguarding, health, safety, and welfare standards.
* Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Support the wider nursery team and cover in other rooms when needed.
* Contribute to inspections and audits, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and EYFS.
About You
* Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Childcare / Early Years.
* Previous experience in a nursery setting, with some leadership or senior responsibilities.
* Strong knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding requirements.
* Confident, approachable, and able to inspire your team.
* Passionate about delivering outstanding early years education.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £100.00-£130.00 per day
Ability to commute/relocate:
* South Croydon CR2: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* Level 3 in Childcare & Education (preferred)
* QTS (preferred)
