Hours:37.5 Hours (Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm)Location:Hybrid – 3 days per week at our Nelson (Lancashire) officeWe are looking for an experienced Head of Pricing to lead and develop our pricing function. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in the UK energy market who can take ownership of pricing strategy, supplier pricing analysis, contract comparison and customer pricing support.What will you do?Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead the pricing function across electricity and gas procurement activitiesPrepare, review and manage customer pricing submissions for both fixed and flexible contractsAnalyse supplier offers and build clear pricing comparisons for internal teams and clientsSupport the development of pricing strategies aligned to market conditions and customer risk appetiteWork closely with account managers, consultants and trading support to ensure pricing solutions are commercially sound and competitiveMaintain and improve pricing models, templates and reporting tools in ExcelReview supplier contract structures, non-commodity elements and pricing assumptionsSupport tender exercises, renewals and bespoke procurement projectsLiaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve pricing queries and improve turnaround timesHelp identify process improvements across pricing, reporting and offer evaluationProvide technical pricing guidance to colleagues and support the development of junior team members where requiredWhat do we expect?Minimum 5 years’ experience in the energy industryStrong experience in energy procurement pricingProven knowledge of both fixed and flexible energy contractsAdvanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas, lookups, data manipulation and pricing model developmentStrong commercial awareness and ability to interpret supplier pricing structuresConfident working with large datasets and producing accurate pricing analysisStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlinesExperience working within an energy consultancy, broker, supplier or procurement businessGood understanding of non‑commodity cost components and wider market driversExperience supporting customer tenders and pricing recommendations in a client‑facing environmentFamiliarity with reporting tools, CRM systems or energy pricing platformsPersonal AttributesCommercially mindedAnalytical and highly detail‑orientedProactive and solution‑focusedAble to work collaboratively across teamsComfortable taking ownership and improving existing processes
