Job Opportunity: Specialty Doctor in Urology

Applications are invited for a part-time position based at University Hospital Ayr. The successful candidate will join a team of seven funded consultant urologists, with five currently in post, along with one specialty doctor, two Specialist Registrars, and two CT trainees.
The department provides urological healthcare for a population of approximately 375,000. University Hospital Ayr, opened in 1991, offers a range of laboratory and investigative facilities and features a purpose-built urology assessment unit. The department is progressive, leading developments in endo-urology, diagnostic services, and service redesign.
The Urology Unit has 23 adult beds and access to shared acute receiving beds in the Combined Assessment Unit.
We offer training opportunities across most sub-specialty areas and support continued training for our staff.
The Terms and Conditions of service are aligned with the New Specialty Doctor Grade (Scotland) 2008, based on a 10 programmed activity schedule.
Applicants must have appropriate experience, hold Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council, and have completed at least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training.
