Overview
The King’s School invites applications for the position of Deputy SENDCO. This full‑time permanent role (1 FTE) offers the opportunity to lead and enhance our Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND) provision, ensuring high‑quality 1:1 and small‑group intervention sessions and driving improvement in educational and life outcomes for our pupils.
Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate and deliver high‑quality 1:1 and small‑group intervention sessions.
* Lead and develop the school’s SEND strategy and best practice across the provision.
* Drive improvements in educational and life outcomes for SEND pupils.
* Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, carers and external agencies.
Qualifications & Skills
* Passion for supporting pupils to reach their full potential.
* Excellent communication with warmth, clarity and professionalism when working with staff, students, parents and carers.
* Strong teamwork skills and confidence in working independently and using initiative.
* Valuable experience in a specialist SEND role or a similar area.
