Job Summary: NexHire Medical is currently seeking to recruit two Administrative Assistants to support one of our client practices based in South Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic healthcare team in a supportive and professional environment. The roles are offered on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out general office and administrative tasks to support the daily operations of the practice Answer and manage telephone calls and email correspondence in a professional manner Update and maintain accurate patient records and databases Handle incoming and outgoing post and documentation Support with appointment bookings, cancellations, and other scheduling tasks Ensure accurate data entry across clinical and administrative systems Provide administrative support to clinical and management teams as required Maintain confidentiality and comply with NHS data protection and information governance standards Assist with filing, photocopying, and document preparation Essential Skills & Experience: Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a healthcare or NHS setting Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional and courteous manner when dealing with patients and staff Desired Skills: Experience using NHS clinical systems such as EMIS Web, SystmOne, or similar Familiarity with medical terminology or clinical coding Understanding of NHS working practices and procedures Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Flexible, proactive, and solution-focused approach Qualifications: Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths (Grade A–C / 9–4) Additional Information: Immediate start available Working hours: Full-time (part-time may be considered) Induction and training will be provided Opportunities for development and progression within the practice To Apply: Please submit your CV or email management@nexhiremedical.com for more information.
