About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic and inspirational Computing Teacher to join one of Britain’s top state schools in Birmingham on a permanent, full-time basis starting 01 January 2026. This highly-regarded State Grammar School, with nearly 500 years of tradition, is seeking a colleague passionate about learning and able to motivate highly able pupils in this crucial subject. The role requires excellent communication skills to teach throughout the age range, with a focus on advanced concepts at A-Level. Responsibilities
* Design and deliver a challenging and ambitious Computing curriculum that prepares pupils to flourish in an inter-connected and fast-changing world.
* Engage, enthuse, and motivate highly able pupils, promoting problem-solving, rigour, and resilience in technical subjects.
* Demonstrate a range of effective behaviour management strategies and teaching skills, ensuring high levels of academic achievement.

* Support the strong extra-curricular provision by running a Computing, Coding, or Technology-related club.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and a relevant degree specialism in Computing Science or a closely related discipline.
* Proven ability (or clear potential for an ECT) to teach advanced Computing concepts up to A-Level.
