Position: Bilingual English–Portuguese Language Professional
Type: Independent Contractor
Compensation: $25–$30/hour
Location: Remote
Duration: 1+ months
Commitment: 10+ hours/week
Role Responsibilities
* Review and assess Portuguese translations for fluency, clarity, and accuracy.
* Suggest improvements that reflect idiomatic and culturally appropriate usage in Portugal.
* Identify mistranslations or unclear phrasing to enhance AI model outputs.
* Provide structured feedback on tone, regional usage, and linguistic quality.
* Maintain high reading speed and attention to detail across varied content types.
* Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve translation quality.
Qualifications
Must-Have
* Native or near-native fluency in both Portuguese and English.
* In-depth familiarity with Portuguese as spoken in Portugal.
* 1+ year of experience in translation, editing, or language quality assurance.
* Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills.
* Strong attention to linguistic and cultural nuances.
