HGV Technician Supervisor
£50,000 - £55,000 per annum

Our client, a prestigious Truck and Bus manufacturer and dealer, is seeking for a HGV Technician Supervisor to join their team. If you are an experienced HGV Technician with leadership experience or ambitions to lead then apply for this position.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading our team of HGV technicians, ensuring all work is carried out efficiently, safely, and to Volvo’s high standards. The right candidate will act as a hands-on leader, supporting technicians on the shop floor while coordinating workloads, maintaining quality control, and liaising with the Service Manager to meet operational targets.
Role: HGV Technician Supervisor
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday -7am -3pm / 3pm to 11pm; alternative Saturdays 8am to 12 noon @ overtime - time and a half
Location: Peterborough
Key Responsibility:
* Working closely with and supervising a team of technicians in order to create high levels of morale and focus to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and with excellence in quality.
* Ensuring that customer expectations are managed at all times by working with each stage of the Service process.
* Maximising the shifts performance through effective problem solving, coaching & development
* Effective communication with the Day Shift Supervisor, CSR’s and Parts department to ensure that technicians have valid job specifications and time budget prior to work commencing.
Requirements:
* previous experience as a Supervisor or Team Leader in HGV maintenance
* able to manage and motivate a team of technicians in their daily duties
* ability to coach and provide support and guidance to your team of technicians.
* able to effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally
* have the ability to prioritise tasks, manage workflow and meet deadlines in a busy workshop
* have a basic knowledge of Microsoft and IT skills
