A secondary school in Redbridge is seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and dedicated History Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to become part of a supportive Humanities department within a well-established secondary school. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, encouraging students to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a strong understanding of historical events and perspectives.
Key responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging History lessons across KS3 and KS4
* Prepare students for examinations and coursework requirements
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement
* Monitor and assess student progress effectively
* Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
* Promote high standards of behaviour, engagement, and academic progress
The successful candidate will:
* Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), essential
* Have strong subject knowledge within History
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
* Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning
* Have the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
* Work effectively as part of a collaborative team
