Planning Engineer with experience of working on rail projects using Primavera P6 required for a contract opportunity in York.
The role offers hybrid working, but candidates must be able to go to the York office 2-3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain project schedules, integrating supply chain, and possibly 3rd party client activities
* Establish the Performance Management Baseline based on the Accepted Programme and incorporate time risk analysis
* Progress the schedule in line with project governance, identify variances, and work with project teams to develop recovery plans
* Be conversant in earned value, resource and cost loaded programmes, and critical path analysis
* Analyse and ensure the quality of supplier schedules, closing any actions
* Become an intrinsic part of the Project Delivery team, providing stakeholders with clear project information and potential slippage mitigation
* Attend key stakeholder meetings as a representative of the planning function
* Develop what-if scenarios to support future phase development
* Provide schedule data and reports to key stakeholders
* Support other teams with monitoring, control, assurance, risk, and value activities
To be considered for the role:
* Significant experience with Oracle Primavera P6
* Ideally experience of working in the rail industry if not another infrastructure market
* Proactive and positive approach to their work
