ASC Debt Recovery Lawyer Rate: £45-£55 per hour - Negotiable DOE Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract Northwest Local Authority Flexible Hybrid Working - Advocacy Required We are recruiting for a dedicated ASC Debt Recovery Lawyer to join a Legal Services team in the northwest region. In this role, you will play a central part in supporting the councils adult social care operations by managing debt recovery cases and ensuring effective resolution of financial matters related to care services. Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal advice on adult social care debt recovery matters. Manage and oversee cases involving the recovery of care-related debts. Liaise closely with internal teams to ensure coordinated and responsive legal support. Prepare and issue legal documents, engage in negotiations, and represent the council when required. Keep abreast of relevant legislation and evolving best practices in debt recovery and adult social care. Key Requirements Qualified solicitor or equivalent with experience in debt recovery or public sector law. Demonstrable knowledge of adult social care law. Proven experience managing casework, including drafting legal documentation and conducting negotiations. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for varied audiences. Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high standards. Previous local authority or public sector experience (desirable).
