Metro Rod York & Hull – covering the Hull area
Salary up to £32,760 - £39,870 DOE + on-call, overtime & commission
Metro Rod works with the likes of Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonalds, Wetherspoons and many more in FM, social housing, property management, retail, industrial and leisure sectors. Founded in 1983, Metro Rod and sister company Metro Plumb are leading providers of drain clearance and maintenance services across the UK. We provide a full‑time vacancy, providing a range of emergency and contracted services to commercial and domestic customers. The successful candidate will be provided with a company van and fuel card.
Within the Waste & Water Services Division of Franchise Brands, we also have Willow Pumps and Filta, focusing on sewage pumps and commercial kitchen solutions. Together we provide a complete one‑stop shop for keeping water and waste flowing.
What does it entail?
* Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
* Operation of High‑Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
* Carrying out surveys
* Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
* Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
* Communicating effectively with high‑profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
* Being part of an on‑call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year. This would be one week in four‑variable according to the business needs
What are we looking for?
* High pressure water jetting and CCTV surveying with experience in commercial drainage beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided for the right candidate
* Excellent problem‑solving ability with sound technical knowledge
* Positive, flexible, can‑do attitude
* Desire to be part of a growing and progressive business
* Willingness to work some unsociable hours
* Full UK driving licence
