GSL Education are hiring a reliable and caring Teaching Assistant to join schools in Barnsley, covering the S70 and S71 areas. The Teaching Assistant (TA) will work closely with class teachers to provide in-class support, helping students stay engaged and make steady academic progress. Responsibilities of Teaching Assistant: Provide 1:1 and small group support during lessons. Assist with preparing and adapting classroom resources. Encourage positive behaviour and active participation. Support pupils with additional learning needs where required. Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting. Patient, supportive, and adaptable approach. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
