We are looking for a Graduate with a minimum of 12 months experience within an Investment Management or Financial Services firm to provide Business Management and Research Support to the COO and CEO of a prestigious UK Wealth and Investment Management firm.
Work closely with the COO to support the smooth running of the firm, including meeting organization, documentation preparation, and following up on day-to-day issues and projects with department heads and others across the firm. Provide additional support to the COO and CEO for projects, business cases, and presentations.
Main Duties
Business Management/Research for the COO and CEO
- Support the COO in investigation and resolution of BAU issues to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist with preparation of presentations, board papers, strategy documents, and other materials.
- Manage ongoing or ad hoc processes as required.
- Assess new requirements and collaborate with relevant business areas to embed into BAU.
- Represent the COO in project meetings as needed.
- Work with the MI team to maintain and improve operational MI/BI.
- Prepare meeting materials and liaise with contributors for timely paper and pack preparation.
- Take minutes for some committees and ad hoc meetings.
- Maintain action lists, project logs, and trackers, ensuring progress between meetings.
Skills and Qualifications
- Good soft skills and ability to communicate technical details effectively.
- Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
- Proactive attitude in identifying issues and areas for improvement.
- Good time management and ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience in Investment Management, with exposure to operational systems, processes, regulatory changes, and projects, is advantageous.
- Accurate and punctual in task completion.
- Maintain positive relationships and a positive work environment.
- Successful delivery of key projects and support.
- Ability to identify relevant BI/MI measures and develop related tools.
