Engagement Coach – SEN (Special Educational Needs)

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs to thrive, engage, and succeed? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Engagement Coach to join our team in Buntingford, working closely with SEN pupils to build confidence, resilience, and a love for learning.
About the Role
As an Engagement Coach, you will play a key role in supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You will work both one-to-one and in small groups, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and fully engage in their education. The role is 5 hours a day working either (9.30am - 14.30pm or 10.30am - 15.30pm)
Key Responsibilities
* Support SEN pupils in and out of the classroom to enhance engagement and participation
* Build positive, trusting relationships with students
* Implement tailored strategies to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Promote emotional wellbeing, social skills, and independence
* Monitor and report on pupil progress and engagement
