Dementia Support Worker
An NVQ level 2 (or above) certificate in Health and Social Care is essential for this role, along with a minimum of 6 months experience within a Dementia setting.
Rates of pay:
NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £13.52 per hour
NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £14.35 per hour
Introduction to the role
Are you an individual with previous care experience within a dementia setting? Do you hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care? We are seeking experienced individuals who meet these requirements and can demonstrate a positive nature and a passion for person-led care. As a Dementia Support Worker, you will help ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity. Your approach will be empathetic, compassionate, and focused on making residents' lives fulfilled and meaningful.
In specially designed communities, you will engage with individuals on their dementia journey, understanding their needs, encouraging, assisting, and supporting participation in appropriate leisure activities and daily living activities, normalising life as much as possible with joy and happiness. The role involves aspects of personal care and supporting individuals who may show signs of distress. With team support, you will receive tailored dementia training to enhance your skills and improve the lives of those you support.
