Location: Salford / Birmingham / Gerrards Cross
Hours: 40 hours per week (some flexibility available)
Your Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in our MEICA team, providing specialist support across:
* Potable water treatment works
* Wastewater treatment works
* Pumping stations and network assets
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
* Agreeing on electrical and ICA design requirements, ensuring clarity and understanding
* Delivering innovative solutions and value engineering to enhance Kier's competitive edge
* Specifying LV electrical equipment and conducting site visits for inspections
* Carrying out cable sizing and installation design
* Providing ICA input for telemetry, SCADA, PLC, and network communication architectures
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Are a Chartered Engineer with membership in an appropriate Professional Body (IET or IMechE)
* Have extensive experience in the water, wastewater, or process-related industries
* Possess detailed knowledge of SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements
* Can work under pressure and make critical decisions
* Are competent with cable design software (Amtech) and can interpret P&IDs, SLDs, and loop diagrams
* Can pass the BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) requirements
