Job Description

Short Description:
This interim role provides high‑level operational, project, and organisational support while the permanent Chief Scientific Officer position is being recruited. The role requires someone who can manage confidential, time‑sensitive projects, coordinate stakeholders, and act as a hybrid project manager, consultant, and chief‑of‑staff‑style partner within a scientific environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and support confidential, high‑priority projects, ensuring strong organisation, clear communication, and effective stakeholder coordination.
* Provide operational and project management support across business functions, including planning, tracking, and delivering key workstreams.
* Act as a trusted partner on sensitive matters, maintaining discretion while supporting decision‑making and organisational alignment.
Candidate Requirements
* Background in executive support, consulting, or organisational project management, ideally within life sciences or scientific organisations.
* Experience handling confidential and delicate projects with senior stakeholders.
* Strong business operations understanding and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Project management qualifications beneficial but not essential.
* Availability for live interviews and full holiday schedule clearly stated on CV.
Requirements:
* Around three years’ experience in consulting, business operations, or organisational project management, ideally within a scientific or life‑sciences setting.
* Proven ability to drive operational efficiencies, implement systems and processes, and support organisational design work.
* Strong fit for ex‑consultants, though candidates with project management or senior administrative backgrounds will also be considered.
