This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance team as an Assistant Finance Analyst, where you'll gain hands-on experience across management accounting, reporting, and analysis while receiving full study support and mentoring. Reporting to the Finance Analyst, you'll play a key part in supporting the month-end process, financial reporting, and analysis activities across multiple business units. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of finance functions and work alongside experienced colleagues in a collaborative, supportive environment that encourages professional growth. Key Responsibilities Assist with the month-end process for regional and joint venture ledgers, including posting journals, banking, and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations. Take ownership of divisional banking and sales invoicing, including credit control to ensure timely cash recovery. Support senior team members in preparing management accounts, board packs, and cashflow forecasts. Liaise with operational teams to provide financial insight and respond to ad-hoc finance queries. Assist with half-year and full-year audits, including preparation of audit deliverables and liaison with auditors. Contribute to the preparation of financial statements. Participate in project work aimed at improving systems, processes, and reporting efficiency. Provide general support to the finance team as needed.Role Requirements Ideally a graduate with 1-2 years' experience in a finance-related role (practice or industry). Looking to study towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA) - full study support provided. Strong technical and analytical skills with a solid understanding of core accounting principles. Advanced Excel user, confident in handling and analysing large datasets. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across departments. Proactive and self-motivated, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
