We are looking for a full time Commercial Electrician to join our growing team of service engineers. You’ll be working alongside our other service engineers across a large number of our commercial clients across Scotland. This is a fully mobile role and requires a full UK driving licence. This role will support the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of our client services by attending client sites to conduct planned and reactive maintenance. Thermatic Technical FM provide complete nationwide coverage, across the full spectrum of Hard FM services to large, commercial clients. Our team of mobile engineers are supported by the account teams at Head Office to provide both reactive breakdown and planned maintenance services to our clients. Whilst this is our company standard working week, our clients require "out of hours" maintenance so early starts/late finishes & night works are to be expected. On Call - this role includes a 24 hour on call rota on a maximum 1 week in 4 schedule (Friday-Thursday) Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Essential: Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 Parts 1, 2 & 3, BTEC ONC / HNC, JIB Approved electrician or NVQ Level 3 equivalent City & Guilds Qualification in mechanical discipline or NVQ 6018 'Heating & Ventilation Industrial and Commercial Installations' City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Inspection & testing Working knowledge of BS7671, 18th Edition Electrical Installation Regulations & associated legislative standards, working knowledge of Building Regulations Able to demonstrate experience in Building Environmental and Electrical Services including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning within the building services industry Basic plumbing & building material skills/knowledge Sound understanding and experience of meeting Health & Safety obligations regarding maintenance activities Must be prepared to work out of hours when required and participate in a call out rota (1 in 4) Have good communication and organisation skills Have a positive “can do” attitude Ability to work on own or as part of a team Full UK Driving Licence Responsibilities include: Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance in accordance with Thermatic’s PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and task schedules Undertaking PPM activity to a high standard and in a professional manner Undertaking reactive maintenance works as directed by the Help Desk and/or management team Producing technical and situational reports as required Proactively using the technology and systems provided in order to support Thermatic’s compliance and contractual obligations Carrying out all works requested in a professional and proactive manner Assisting the management team with producing quotations by providing accurate and good quality information where extra works are identified Communicating clearly, effectively, and professionally with team members, management, and client representatives Escalating any major site issues or incidents via the appropriate channel and within acceptable time frames Attending team meetings or briefings as requested Providing accurate time sheet information on time Supporting team members including acting as second man where required Our People We’re a business built on people and it’s the people that make us different from other companies.
