An exciting opportunity for a Group Credit Manager has become available at our Head Office. This challenging yet rewarding role involves leading Credit Control for our group of companies, reporting to the Finance Director. The role includes overseeing credit activities such as risk management, developing credit policies, and managing the team. This is an office-based position at our Head Office in Shirley, near the M42.
The successful candidate will:
* Have prior experience in a busy credit control environment,
* Possess strong financial understanding,
* Be a problem solver,
* Be confident in leading a team,
* Be self-motivated and driven,
* Have excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the success of the credit function.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing relationships with Credit Insurers, monitoring insured limits, submitting claims, and negotiating renewals,
* Leading monthly meetings with senior management,
* Providing management information on debts, debtor days, collections, and ad-hoc reports,
* Managing cash collection across all Group companies,
* Ensuring departmental systems and protocols are effective and enforced,
* Overseeing the Credit Control Department and managing the team proactively,
* Processing credit applications and PODs,
* Making major or sensitive credit decisions,
* Controlling credit limits,
* Managing litigation and insolvency procedures,
* Setting credit policies and managing credit notes,
* Conducting risk assessments for existing and new credit applicants,
* Maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders,
* Reviewing sales Terms and Conditions,
* Visiting customers and company sites as needed.
