The Role
Hours: Monday – Friday | 08:30 – 17:00 (40 Hours per week)
Our client in Rainham is looking for a focused individual to join their lovely, welcoming team.
Key Responsibilities
* Garment Deconstruction: Carefully unpicking damaged seams and sections without harming the base material.
* Preparation: Sizing and prepping fabric patches or replacement panels for the machinists.
* Quality Inspection: Ensuring all prepared pieces meet the high durability standards required for a warehouse environment.
* Team Collaboration: Working closely with sewing machinists to ensure a smooth flow of repairs.
What We’re Looking For
* Machinist Experience: Previous experience with sewing (industrial or domestic) is highly advantageous.
* Technical Knowledge: An understanding of garment construction—knowing how a piece is put together so you can take it apart correctly.
* Dexterity: Comfort and speed using unpickers, snips, and textile tools.
* Reliability: Looking for someone who enjoys a consistent Monday to Friday routine within a warehouse setting.
