Business Development Manager Water Treatment & Water Hygiene

Salary: £51,000 + commission + Company car
Are you a commercially driven Business Development professional with expertise in Water Treatment or Water Hygiene? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking organisation looking to expand its footprint across the UK.
We are partnering with a well-established and ambitious company seeking a high-performing individual to drive new business growth, build strategic client relationships, and play a key role in scaling a specialist division.
The Opportunity
This is more than a sales role its a chance to position yourself as a trusted advisor in a technically complex and highly regulated sector.
You will take ownership of developing new business opportunities across commercial, industrial, healthcare, and public sector environments, while working closely with technical teams to deliver compliant, high-quality solutions. Working hours are 40 per week, working remotely with 1-2 days in the office in the Dudley area, ideally candidates will live within 2 hours of the office.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within Water Treatment and Water Hygiene markets
Build and manage a strong pipeline, consistently achieving and exceeding revenue targets
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, tenders, and client presentations
Develop long-term relationships with key stakeholders including Facilities Managers, Engineers, and Procurement teams
Conduct site visits and technical discussions to understand client requirements and propose tailored solutions
Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments
Collaborate with internal technical and operational teams to ensure successful project delivery
Represent the business at industry events and networking opportunities
What Were Looking For
Proven track record in business development or sales within Water Treatment, Water Hygiene, or a related technical sector
Strong understanding of Legionella control and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g. ACoP L8, HSG 274)
Confident communicator with excellent negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to translate technical information into clear, client-focused solutions
Highly self-motivated, organised, and target-driven
Industry certifications (e.g. Legionella Control, Water Treatment training)
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
