Job description

Our client, a leading engineering and maintenance provider in the energy sector, is currently seeking a Scaffold Design Engineer to join their team in Warrington. This permanent role supports various offshore and onshore projects, ensuring efficient and safe scaffolding solutions across diverse energy markets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Designing complex and large-scale access scaffolds, temporary roofs, habitats, and load-bearing structures for offshore and onshore sites.
2. Consulting with clients and site teams to resolve and design major structural scaffold requirements.
3. Preparing design drawings, technical guidance, calculations, and detailing of structural scaffolds in line with British and European standards.
4. Conducting regular site surveys and follow-up reporting for onshore and offshore installations.
5. Adhering to internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance and safety.
6. Promoting scaffold design services and innovations within the company.
7. Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and operational team members.
8. Supporting the development and implementation of workpacks related to scaffold design, including estimating, risk assessments, and design checks.
Job Requirements:
9. Experience in scaffolding and temporary works design.
10. Recognised competence in scaffolding safety (CITB).
11. Previous role in engineering or relevant engineering degree (HNC or above in Structural/Civil/Mechanical Engineering).
12. Proficiency with AutoCAD software and Microsoft Office applications.
13. Understanding of structural mechanics and scaffold design principles.
14. Desirable: Temporary works/scaffold design experience, industrial scaffold experience, structural analysis software knowledge, 3D CAD modelling experience, and relevant safety certifications such as BOSIET, MIST, and Medical.
