We are a specialist construction company delivering refurbishment, heritage, and commercial projects across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties. Project values typically range from £50,000 to £1,000,000. This is a hybrid role where the foreman will be “on the tools” as well as managing the project. Depending on the job, they may be leading hands-on from the front, or focusing on managing teams, subcontractors, and client relationships. Key responsibilities include: * Working on the tools whilst also managing the project * Achieving project success in terms of quality, programme, and budget * Completing projects on schedule and in line with contract, drawings, and approved variations * Managing employees, subcontractors, equipment, and material needs * Overseeing quality control and snagging during completion * Managing variations/change orders and ensuring client approval prior to works commencing * Confirming client sign-off for design-stage items (bathroom/kitchen layouts, fitted wardrobes, etc.) * Recording employee hours and tasks daily * Ensuring staff efficiency and productivity * Maintaining positive relationships with clients and colleagues * Monitoring and enforcing health & safety compliance on site * Maintaining a positive, proactive, and solutions-driven work environment * Regular communication with line manager, including weekly progress reviews We are looking for someone with proven experience in this type of role, strong leadership skills, and the ability to adapt between hands-on and managerial responsibilities
