Rawwater provides contract research and consultancy for the energy industry in the fields of materials science, well technology and water management. We combine engineering with subsurface microbiology to deliver solutions for facilities design and oilfield reservoir souring. Applicants will be joining a friendly, small, world-class laboratory, working with a team of expert Microbiologists.
The 'Junior Research Scientist' role will include construction and operation of pressurised bioreactor systems and will provide technical support and assistance for oil reservoir simulation work in the laboratory.
PRINCIPAL TASKS:
* Provide laboratory support, including microbiological and chemical analysis, and compilation of the subsequent data for internal reporting
* Assist in the design, build and operation of laboratory-based pressurised systems for oil reservoir simulation
* Collate and analyse laboratory data for internal presentations
* Laboratory equipment operation, maintenance, and calibration
* Write experimental updates for internal review
* Work within laboratory HSE standards

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
* BSc in Biological Sciences
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, averaging 37 hours per week
