Multi Skilled Air Conditioning Engineer Contract: Key Account Network Location: Sunderland Hours of work: 41.25 Contract Type: Permanent The Service Engineer (AC) will deliver air conditioning and building services maintenance across a range of client properties within the designated region. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving air conditioning faults, performing repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and supporting installation projects. Key Responsibilities * Manage AC and HVAC bias PPM, proactive, and reactive work issued through the helpdesk, ensuring tasks are completed within set timeframes and customer expectations are exceeded. * Perform maintenance across other building services, including fabric, HVAC, mechanical systems, and related tasks. * Respond to client callouts as outlined in the callout rota. * Undertake new installations, as well as major and minor repair works on clients’ AC systems. * Diagnose and repair faults in systems and plant, including basic electrical fault finding. * Oversee contractor activities on behalf of the client, ensuring workmanship meets required standards and issuing Permits to Work as necessary. * Ensure all AC equipment operates to specified performance criteria. * Maintain equipment and surrounding areas to agreed company standards. * Deliver a professional service, representing the company to ensure customer satisfaction. * Evaluate equipment performance and ensure proper servicing and maintenance under contract. * Proactively liaise with clients to address concerns or escalate issues to management when necessary. * Maintain full awareness of contractual requirements and customer needs at all times. Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications Qualifications * City and Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 Equivalent AND * NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and AC Systems OR * NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation OR * NVQ2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating and Ventilation Service & Maintenance IPAF / PASMA * Full UK Driving License. * Applicants with electrical qualifications will be preferred. Experience * Significant experience in providing air conditioning and HVAC related building services maintenance to include fault finding, maintenance and installation. * Significant previous experience in providing reactive and PPM building services maintenance. * Experience of working within FM or building services within commercial properties. * Experience of working under strict Health & Safety procedures including risk assessments and method statements.
