Production / Operations Manager Location: Dukinfield About the Company: We are an established and growing home décor manufacturing business with a strong reputation and a well-established customer base, supplying both independent retailers and multinational brands. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and driven Production / Operations Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The Role: Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take full responsibility for a busy light manufacturing operation, leading a team of approximately 50 personnel. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met, operational efficiencies are identified, and robust systems are maintained across the entire production lifecyclefrom pre-production through to logistics. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Oversee daily operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment Monitor and maintain KPIs and quality control standards Manage staffing levels, including seasonal workforce planning Lead, support, and develop the management team Ensure production schedules, lead times, and deadlines are consistently achieved Key Responsibilities: Act as the appointed Health & Safety Manager Negotiate and manage maintenance and service contracts Forecast demand and oversee material replenishment processes Manage staff induction programmes and training matrices Coordinate and oversee external audits and compliance requirements About You: IOSH or NEBOSH qualification (essential) Proven experience within a light manufacturing environment Strong background in Production or Operations Management Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills Stable and progressive employment history What We Offer: A key leadership role within a well-established business Opportunity to make a real impact on operations and growth Supportive and collaborative working environment Competitive salary If you are a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence and team development, we would love to hear from you.
