Job Summary
As Product Director you are responsible for leading the strategy, development, and delivery of products that provide performance measurement, attribution analysis and ex-post risk reporting to our global client base. This role partners with stakeholders across product, operations, technology, risk and external vendors to ensure the product delivers accurate, timely and meaningful analytics to our client base on a daily and monthly basis. The ideal candidate possesses deep knowledge of performance measurement, ex-post risk and attribution analysis methodologies, and product management or investment operations best practices.
Responsibilities
* Product Strategy & Roadmap
o Develop and communicate the vision, strategy and roadmap for the performance analytics product.
o Align the product strategy with business objectives, client needs and regulatory requirements.
* Market & Competitive Analysis
o Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in performance analytics and attribution.
o Recommend enhancements to maintain product competitiveness and relevance.
* Product Development & Delivery
o Engage with internal and external stakeholders (clients, local product/sales teams, operations, external vendors) to gather requirements for performance analytics product developments.
o Collaborate with product development teams, technology and system vendors to design, build, and launch new product features.
o Prioritize features based on business impact, regulatory deadlines, and client feedback.
* Stakeholder Management
o Act as the primary liaison between business users, technology teams, and external vendors.
o Communicate product updates, timelines, and performance metrics to internal stakeholders and clients.
o Oversee the accuracy, timeliness and RAG status of performance analytics services for our global client base in coordination with operational partners.
* Risk, Regulatory & Compliance Oversight
o Ensure products adhere to industry standards (e.g., GIPS, CFA Institute guidelines) and regulatory requirements where appropriate.
o Support risk, audit and compliance requirements related to performance analytics reporting.
* Documentation & Training
o Develop and maintain product documentation including marketing materials, product definitions and training materials.
o Ensure effective adoption and understanding of performance analytics capabilities.
* Sales Support
o Provide support for prospect pitches, proofs of concept (POCs) and RFP responses in collaboration with Sales and Business Development teams.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
* Vast experience in product management or investment operations roles covering performance analytics services.
* Strong understanding of performance measurement, ex-post risk and attribution analysis methodology across asset classes.
* Experience with implementing or managing a GIPS compliance function within an asset management organization.
* Proven experience with implementing and developing proprietary and vendor performance analytics platforms (e.g., FactSet, Bloomberg).
* Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
* Degree in Business, Finance or related area or CFA/ CGIPS
* Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
