We are looking for an experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join our client’s dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled IT professional with a strong background in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and networking to take on a key role in delivering high-level technical support and solutions in a growing and ambitious IT Consultancy.
As a 3rd Line Engineer, you will handle complex technical escalations, assist in the design and implementation of IT infrastructure projects, and provide expert-level troubleshooting across a range of technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 3rd line technical support for escalated IT issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Administer and manage Microsoft 365 and Azure, including Intune, Exchange Online, and security policies.
Maintain and support Windows Server environments (2016 and later), including Active Directory, Group Policies, and server roles.
Manage and troubleshoot virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Oversee network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, firewalls, routers, VPNs, and VLANs.
Assist with IT infrastructure projects, migrations, and deployments.
Implement security best practices across systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Document technical processes, configurations, and solutions to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing.
Work closely with 1st and 2nd Line Support teams, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
Skills & Experience we are looking for:
Proven experience in a 3rd Line IT Support role
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, including virtual machines, networking, and identity management.
Expertise with Mobile Device Management (InTune)
Expertise in managing Windows Server environments (2016 and later).
Hands-on experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
Strong networking knowledge, including firewalls, switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, and Wi-Fi solutions.
Familiarity with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and failover clustering.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
