Job Description and Person Specification: Field Care Supervisor Responsible to: Registered Manager Reports to: Deputy Manager Hours: Shift Pattern – 06:00–14:30 or 15:00–23:00 Salary: £26,812 per annum plus £100 per week on-call rates Overtime available Contract Type: Full-time / Job Share / Split Hours (subject to agreement) On-Call: Alternate weeks (Monday–Sunday) Location: Community-based care (travel required) Full UK Driving Licence Needed Job Purpose To work as part of the senior team in supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the safe, effective, responsive, caring, and well-led delivery of domiciliary care services. The Field Care Supervisor will play a key leadership role in supervising care staff, maintaining quality standards in line with the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOEs), and the organisation’s own policies and procedures. Main Duties and Responsibilities Safe Promote and monitor safe practice across all areas of care delivery. Ensure compliance with medication, moving & handling, infection prevention, safeguarding, and lone working protocols. Carry out spot checks and unannounced visits to observe care practices. Escalate and report concerns, incidents, or changes in service user wellbeing in line with safeguarding and reporting procedures. Effective Conduct client care assessments, reviews, and risk assessments in line with policy and regulatory requirements. Support the development and implementation of individual, person-centred care plans. Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date care documentation in accordance with GDPR and regulatory standardsCaring Promote a culture of dignity, empathy, respect, and compassionate care in line with the CQC fundamental standards. Support care workers in understanding and implementing person-centred values. Actively engage with service users to ensure their voices are heard and preferences are respected. Responsive Assist in rota planning to ensure adequate and consistent care coverage. Respond to unplanned care needs and provide direct care as required. Be part of the senior on-call rota (alternate weeks) to support service continuity. Well-led Supervise and support care workers through regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and observations. Support the Deputy Manager in staff recruitment, induction, and training. Promote a learning and improvement culture through feedback, reflective practice, and staff development. Additional Responsibilities Comply with organisational policies, procedures, and professional codes of conduct at all times. Maintain confidentiality and data protection in accordance with GDPR 2018. Adhere to health and safety responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the scope of the role.
