Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team, providing a safe and engaging environment for children. Duties
Must be available to work Monday to Friday 7:15am -9.00am, 2:45pm - 6:00pm During term time & 7:30am - 4:30pm Tuesdays/Wednesday/Thursdays in the school holidays. This post is 16 to 25 hours per week.
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development through play.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional growth.
* Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe environment for children to play and learn.
* Monitor children's behaviour and provide guidance as needed to promote positive interactions.
* Assist in the administration of daily routines, including meal times and transitions between activities.
Qualifications
* A background in Childhood Education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff effectively.
