Who are Derbyshire WISH?
Derbyshire WISH provides Ofsted Regulated refuge and community-based (outreach) care and support to adults and children experiencing domestic abuse. We’re part of the wider NCHA family and we offer our services to both women and men (dispersed only) with or without children who are fleeing domestic abuse and need a safe place to stay, and to those out in the community impacted by domestic abuse.
The Role
The project manager will be responsible for managing our refuge provision in Amber Valley. The post holder will line manage community and refuge support workers, as well as children & young people workers. Working closely with the Service Manager and wider operational leadership, the post holder will oversee daily management and service development.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Recruiting, selecting, and inducting new staff, managing performance through supervisions, development plans, and CLEAR conversations
* Managing workplace health and safety risk assessments and practices in line with regulations
* Meeting statutory and organisational quality requirements, including Ofsted standards
* Developing, monitoring, and meeting designated income and expenditure targets for the cost centre
* Contributing to organisational development initiatives to enhance services
* Developing and maintaining partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
* Collaborating with other organisations

About You
You will be passionate about supporting survivors of domestic abuse and capable of motivating your team to achieve excellence. Resilience, a sense of humour, and compassion are essential, reflecting our core values: Caring, Learning, Enthusiastic, Accountable, and Resilient.
You should have a 'can do' attitude, work compassionately, and communicate effectively with team members, service users, and support agencies. Experience in domestic abuse and case management is required. Qualifications include NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, such as a QCF Diploma Level 3 in Management or Leadership, Health and Social Care, Housing, or relevant experience at Level 3.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm, with potential evening work until 8 pm, and occasional weekends and bank holidays. Flexibility to travel across Derbyshire is necessary; a driving license and access to a car with business insurance are essential.
All candidates will need to undertake a work-related test prior to the interview.
