Highways Operative

The Role
•Work as part of the highway maintenance operational team.
•Carry out a variety of skilled tasks including carriageway, footway, drainage maintenance, soft estate maintenance works (e.g. grass cutting, strimming etc) and minor civils works.
•Ensure that all works are completed safely.
•Receive daily briefings and understand risks and control measures required for the task.
•Complete daily record sheets and associated documents
About You
•Highway’s maintenance experience.
•A current, valid driving licence is essential
•Able to carry out basic safety, quality and environmental audits and risk assessments
•Able to take responsibility for traffic management, 12 A/B Traffic Management
•A good understanding of health and safety and its impact on the workplace.
