Fifi is a 5-year-old dog who has been part of my life since she was just a few months old. I first brought her home in Egypt as a puppy, and only recently I was finally able to reunite with her in the UK. She has been settling in very well and adjusting nicely to her new environment. She can be a little anxious when meeting new people at first, but it usually only takes her about 10–15 minutes to warm up. Once she does, she becomes friendly, affectionate, and loves attention. Fifi is playful without being overly hyperactive, and she enjoys spending much of her day taking naps, especially when she feels relaxed and comfortable. She is fully house-trained and does not pee or poop indoors as long as she gets her 3–4 daily walks to a garden. She has never had an accident indoors. Fifi has not had much close contact with other pets, so she can sometimes be reactive around other animals and may bark; for this reason, she must remain on a leash during walks. As she has only recently moved to the UK, Fifi has had all required tests and vaccinations completed and was checked upon entry to the country. She is fit, healthy, and spayed. Every couple of months, I need to travel abroad for a few days. During these short trips, I would require Fifi to stay in boarding or with a trusted carer. She adapts well once she settles in and does best in a calm, patient environment where she can feel safe and comfortable. Overall, Fifi is a lovely, gentle dog. Almost everyone who spends time with her ends up loving her — even people who are usually scared of dogs often say that Fifi is simply too cute to be afraid of.
