Senior Civil Engineer £45,000 - £55,000 | Nottingham (Hybrid) The Role A well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy is looking to strengthen its Nottingham team with the appointment of a Senior Civil Engineer. This role would suit an experienced civil engineer who enjoys being hands-on with design and delivery, while also taking responsibility for managing their own projects and supporting junior engineers. You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle, working on a varied portfolio of development-led schemes. Key Responsibilities Delivering civil infrastructure and drainage designs for residential and mixed-use developments Preparing and checking designs associated with S278, S38, S185 and S104 agreements Producing and reviewing technical outputs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoDrainage (or equivalent) Managing projects from early concept through planning support and detailed design Coordinating with clients, local authorities and the wider design team Supporting and mentoring engineers within the team as required Maintaining technical quality and contributing to efficient project delivery About You You’ll bring: 6 years’ experience within a UK civil engineering consultancy Strong technical capability in infrastructure and drainage design Experience working across multiple development sectors Confidence dealing directly with clients and external stakeholders A practical, delivery-focused approach with a desire to stay involved in design Good organisational skills with the ability to manage workload and deadlines Clear communication skills, both written and verbal What’s on Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Hybrid working and flexible holiday allowance The opportunity to lead your own projects with a high level of autonomy Exposure to interesting, technically varied schemes Clear scope for progression towards Principal level and beyond A supportive, collaborative team environment This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in their career within a growing Nottingham-based team, where your technical input and project leadership will be genuinely valued.
